When Virtual Care Becomes the Practice

Being prepared for a crisis is critical for health plans. In November 2018, Butte County, California was devastated by the deadliest fire on record. BSC, already an experienced implementer of telehealth with more than 38,000 unique users and +90% member satisfaction, responded. Collaborating with Teladoc Health, BSC helped Paradise Medical Group (whose practice was destroyed in the fire) set up a virtual practice that not only restored care for residents, regardless of their current location, but it served as a trusted, valued source for patients and physicians alike.
